Alexander the Great

Childhood Life
Alexander the Great was born July 356 BC in the northern Greek kingdom of Macedonia. He was tutored by the great philosopher Aristotle. Alexander learned as much as he could about battle. He watched the tatics of his fathers army.

Later Life
When he was crowned king he killed every other heir including his infant brother. He soon went to war with Persia. After defeating the Persians he went to war with India and Afghanistan and gained another victory.

Accomplishments
He concurred all of the known world. Making one of the worlds most extensive empires. His army exceeded 40,000 men. Alexander changed the conduct of war and the nature of government.

What he changed
Despite his harsh ways Alexander was kind to each city he concurred. He wouldn't allow his soldiers to loot the city. He set free every city he captured.If they had a different religion he let them practice their beliefs. If they were slaves he gave them freedom. Due to drinking and womanizing he died at an early age of 32.
